On Inspiration

When inspiration strikes, now is the moment to seize it.

In time, even brilliant ideas fade, while neglected ones fester.

It’s enjoyable to bathe in their possibilities, and sip the nectar of where they may lead.

However, if we bask too long, all ideas lose their lustre.

Some ideas we talk ourselves out of with “I’m not ready”, “I’m not good enough”, “I’m too busy”, “I can’t afford it”, or “I’m too tired”.

It’s these ideas that fester into “What ifs” further along the path.

By denying ourselves the pursuit of our inspiration, we never know if we are ready, good enough, or if it costs as much as we assume.

Every idea we allow to drift into obscurity reinforces the belief that we cannot.

In truth, we can.

Seize ideas as they emerge, before our doubts, fears, and delusions take hold.

The more we pursue our inspiration, the more we unravel those beliefs. We discover we are ready, find strength we never knew existed, and reveal greater moments of inspiration to explore.

Only by seizing inspiration will we ever know if it is right for us. Doing so either opens new possibilities and opportunities, or it settles assumptions we falsely believed.

Seize inspiration as it emerges; discover where it leads.
